POSITION – Warehouse Material Handler
JOB LOCATION – Chippewa Falls, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (Mon-Thurs 6am-4:30pm)
STARTING PAY – $17-19/hour Depending on Experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED required
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1 to 3 years related experience in a metal fabrication setting. Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred but not required. Forklift experience is required.
In this role, you will handle a range of tasks such as receiving, sorting, packing, and shipping materials. Your keen attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and dedication to keeping the warehouse clean and organized will play a vital part in enhancing our operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies, verifying their accuracy and quality against purchase orders or delivery documents.
Sort, organize, and store materials in designated areas to ensure efficient access and proper storage conditions.
Prepare and pack orders for shipment, ensuring all items are accurate and ready for timely delivery.
Use warehouse management systems or manual logs to track inventory transactions and maintain accurate records.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring materials are handled and stored properly.
Perform regular inventory counts and support cycle counting efforts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Adhere to safety protocols and operational procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
Work closely with team members and supervisors to improve warehouse processes and increase productivity.
Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, shelving, and disposing of packaging waste.
Provide assistance with other warehouse duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is preferred, but not required.
Detail-oriented with a strong ability to follow instructions accurately and precisely.
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy items.
Basic computer proficiency for using inventory management systems or other warehouse software.
Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, is a plus but not mandatory.
