POSITION – Press Brake Operator I

JOB LOCATION – Chippewa Falls, WI

STARTING DATE – Immediately

EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire

EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time

WORK HOURS (SHIFT) - Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, 5:45am-6:15pm)

STARTING PAY – $17.54/hr - $22.00/hour or more DOE

BENEFITS – Medical, Vision, Dental, 401(K), Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays

EDUCATION– High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent required

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1 to 3 years experience in a metal fabrication setting preferred; and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Press Brake Operator will set-up and operate metal bending machines (Press Brake) in accordance with quality/quantity standards.

 

Responsibilities

Identify and report defective materials or any questionable conditions to management or the designer.

Conduct quality inspections and checks according to established quality documentation and control plans, ensuring all results are accurately documented.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly operate equipment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Recognize and differentiate various types of materials, including Aluminum, 5000 series Aluminum, Steel, Stainless Steel, Paint Grip, Galvanneal, and Galvanized materials.

Ensure site efficiency standards are consistently met.

Continuously learn and apply best practices to improve site safety and quality standards.

Adhere to the site’s attendance policy and meet all expectations for punctuality and reliability.

Provide support and assist in other work areas as needed.

 

 

Qualifications

Capable of reading and understanding various documents, including safety guidelines, blueprints, memos, and basic instructions.

Proficient in fundamental math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

HS Diploma or equivalent required.

Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and perform bending, standing, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling regularly during shift.

Preferred experience of 2+ years in a related manufacturing field, bonus if it is metal manufacturing.
