Maintenance III/Engineer
Maintenance III/Engineer - Reports to Maintenance Supervisor
Monday - Friday - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - may alternate with the other Maintenance employees for on call
Hourly pay: $30 – $36, based on experience
Must have at least 5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in the food or dairy industry
Experience with food processing systems is a plus
Technical degree or certification in a related food/dairy industry field
Skilled in stainless steel fabrication and sanitary welding
Familiarity with boiler systems
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective solutions
Experience working with 480V electrical systems, VFD drives, high/low pressure boilers
Strong mechanical aptitude and sanitary welding capabilities
Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
Ensure that machinery and equipment are maintained to operate efficiently by performing scheduled preventative maintenance in a clean, safe, and timely manner.
Adhere to all company safety and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) policies
Maintain compliance with sanitation standards for equipment, rooms, packaging, and personnel
Conduct regular preventative maintenance as scheduled
Identify and report potential maintenance issues to supervisors
Take assignments and schedules from the lead maintenance technician or supervisor
Evaluate existing processes and suggest improvements or equipment upgrades
Provide supervisors with a detailed list of needed parts or equipment
Step into a lead role when needed
Be available for emergency call-ins or as a backup
Work independently and take initiative to resolve issues
Foster positive working relationships with team members
Promptly report any accidents or injuries to your supervisor
Support additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management
Must be willing to rotate on-call duties with other maintenance staff
