Our client is a local company seeking a Human Resources Generalist to lead HR functions while also managing accounts receivable processes. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who is confident in payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and financial systems.
What You’ll Do
🧑🤝🧑 Human Resources Focus
- Administer employee benefits (health, dental, vision, SIMPLE IRA, PTO)
- Lead payroll processing through ADP and CliftonLarsonAllen
- Ensure HR compliance with OSHA, state, and federal employment laws
- Maintain and update employee handbook and internal policies
- Oversee employee performance review process and track development goals
- Support hiring, onboarding, and new hire performance evaluations
- Manage employee relations with professionalism and discretion
- Coordinate company recognition programs and event planning
- Participate in year-end compensation planning and benefit renewals
💳 Accounts Receivable Support
- Process checks, EFTs, and recurring payments
- Monitor banking systems and reconcile accounts monthly
- Invoice for taxes and post financial transactions
- Follow up on delinquencies, prepayments, and NSF items
- Track construction-related revenue and brokerage commissions
- Support fraud monitoring and secure online banking practices
What We’re Looking For
✅ Minimum Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in human resources
- Strong knowledge of HR compliance, payroll, and benefits
- Hands-on payroll software experience
- Comfortable managing sensitive personnel issues and data
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)
🌟 Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with accounting systems
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or Business (or relevant experience)
- Exposure to small-company environments where roles are blended
- Prior involvement in compensation planning or employee engagement
