Our client is a local company seeking a Human Resources Generalist to lead HR functions while also managing accounts receivable processes. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role for someone who is confident in payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and financial systems.


What You’ll Do

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Human Resources Focus

  • Administer employee benefits (health, dental, vision, SIMPLE IRA, PTO)
  • Lead payroll processing through ADP and CliftonLarsonAllen
  • Ensure HR compliance with OSHA, state, and federal employment laws
  • Maintain and update employee handbook and internal policies
  • Oversee employee performance review process and track development goals
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and new hire performance evaluations
  • Manage employee relations with professionalism and discretion
  • Coordinate company recognition programs and event planning
  • Participate in year-end compensation planning and benefit renewals

💳 Accounts Receivable Support

  • Process checks, EFTs, and recurring payments
  • Monitor banking systems and reconcile accounts monthly
  • Invoice for taxes and post financial transactions
  • Follow up on delinquencies, prepayments, and NSF items
  • Track construction-related revenue and brokerage commissions
  • Support fraud monitoring and secure online banking practices

What We’re Looking For

✅ Minimum Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in human resources
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, payroll, and benefits
  • Hands-on payroll software experience
  • Comfortable managing sensitive personnel issues and data
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)

🌟 Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with accounting systems
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, or Business (or relevant experience)
  • Exposure to small-company environments where roles are blended
  • Prior involvement in compensation planning or employee engagement
