Dyslexia Center Office Manager
Summary: The Office Manager performs various administrative tasks supporting Children’s Dyslexia Center’s clinical staff under the direction of the Center Director and CDC Director of Operations following CDC, Inc. policies. The position is limited to a 16-hour workweek for up to 35 weeks per year. The year is broken into two segments scheduled by the Center Director: • A 28-week academic term that runs Sept. through May; Monday through Thursday • A 6-week summer term consisting of 3 weeks in June and 3 weeks in August; M-Th o Up to 16 additional administrative work hours may be scheduled as needed Essential Functions and Responsibilities: • Assist families and staff when center is open for tutoring, as needed • Coordinate and update student tutoring schedules • Track center attendance and provide notification of absences and schedule changes • Respond to center phone and email inquiries • Enter new student applications into database and update database, as needed • Assist with center orientation and onboarding of new families • Schedule progress testing for incoming and current students • Assist in planning and preparing for training sessions and special events • Track staff hours and submit bi-weekly payroll • Verify inventory of consumable supplies and order supplies, when needed • Review monthly accounting statements and complete Credit Card allocation form • Assist in the preparation of new hire forms and background checks • Ensure office and center tutoring areas are clean, organized, and safe • Input center donations into donor database and mail follow-up thank-you letters • Attend monthly board meetings • Perform other administrative functions, as needed Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must satisfactorily perform each essential duty. Education and Experience: Associate’s degree in business and accounting with two years related experience as an office manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Accounting Skills: Ability to understand and apply accounting principles to perform this job's essential functions and responsibilities. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook and be able to gain expertise with associated financial and clinical databases.

Work Location and Hours: Primary work location is the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Upper Wisconsin, located at 616 Graham Ave., Eau Claire WI, 54701. The Office Manager must be available to work at the center Monday through Thursday each week the center is open for tutoring, between the hours of 2:00pm to 7:30 pm, for a total of 16 hours per tutoring week. Daily work schedule will be coordinated in conjunction with the Center Director’s schedule. During the academic school year, tutoring typically runs for 5 weeks in a row followed by 1 week off, from September through May, for a total of 28 weeks. The summer tutoring schedule is reduced, with 3 weeks of tutoring in June, no tutoring in July, and 3 weeks of tutoring in August. Reliable attendance is essential. With the approval of the center director and the director of operations, a small number of tasks may be performed remotely as needed.
Travel Requirements: Travel requirements are minimal and consist of occasional travel to support Center fundraising and special events, marketing, and procurement of needed supplies for these functions.
