Position – Casting Technician

Job Location – Eau Claire, WI

Starting Date – Immediately

Employment Term – Temp-to-Hire

Employment Type – Full-Time

Work Hours (Shift) –  2nd Shift (2:30pm – 10:30pm)

Starting Pay – $17.25/Hour

Perform tasks to prepare and refine parts, ensuring they meet quality expectations. Work collaboratively to address and resolve any issues that arise during the process


Responsibilities

- Mix and cast materials according to supplier specifications, ensuring consistent results across all production runs.

- Trim and finish parts by removing flash, vents, sprues, and gates to match master models accurately.

- Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure they meet quality standards before shipping.

- Utilize tools such as sandpaper, files, and hand or power tools to achieve the required finish levels.

- Communicate with project leads and team members to troubleshoot issues and meet project timelines.


Qualifications 

- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals, as well as write routine reports and effectively communicate with team members or groups.

- Competence in basic math operations

- Strong reasoning skills to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions and address challenges

- Capability to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, lifting over 50 pounds, and distinguishing between colors and hues, as well as safely using tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
