WESTconsin Credit Union Gives Back to Local Families with Shop with Fin Lee Fox

WESTERN, WIAs part of WESTconsin Credit Union’s Kindness Counts initiative, four WESTconsin offices gave back to their communities during this summer’s Shop with Fin Lee Fox events. The community-wide kindness campaign is led by the credit union’s mascot, Fin Lee Fox. Fin Lee visited local grocery stores throughout WESTconsin’s service area, including River Falls, Amery, Baldwin, and Hudson, surprising shoppers with gift cards to help cover the cost of their grocery purchases.

“Our Kindness Counts initiative is about turning good intentions into meaningful action, and Shop with Fin Lee Fox is a perfect example of that commitment,” said Jenny Rathke, Vice President – Member Advocacy and Sales. “Seeing the excitement on children’s faces and knowing we’re helping create positive memories while encouraging financial fitness for local families is incredibly rewarding. These events remind us that even small acts of kindness can make a lasting difference, and we’re proud to invest in the communities we call home.”

In total, 48 individuals and families were impacted by the random acts of kindness, and WESTconsin helped cover $1,600 in grocery bills. Together, these acts of generosity provided financial relief and a reminder that kindness can make a lasting difference.

WESTconsin Credit Union has been serving members since 1939, and membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the Wisconsin counties of Barron, Buffalo, Burnett, Chippewa, Clark, Dunn, Eau Claire, Jackson, Pepin, Pierce, Polk, Rusk, St. Croix, Sawyer, Taylor, Trempealeau, and Washburn, or the Minnesota counties of Anoka, Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Isanti, Pine, Ramsey, Scott, Wabasha, and Washington, with a $5 minimum deposit in a Membership Savings Account.
