Transit Supervisor

Do you have great communication skills, supervisory experience, and an interest in public transit? The City of Eau Claire is now accepting applications for a Transit Supervisor! In this role, you’ll support our Bus Operators and help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for our community. As a Transit Supervisor, you’ll assist the Transit Manager with daily operations of the transit system, including training and supervising operators, responding to incidents and accidents, and helping to keep our service running smoothly. Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.)
  • Possess or obtain (within 6 months of hire) and maintain a valid Class B CDL with no air brake restrictions and P endorsement
  • Two years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), and training in a professional setting

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • An associate degree in a related field
  • Two years of mapping software in a professional or academic setting
  • Two years of supervisory or Transit specific experience

Typical shifts are 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Work every third Saturday, allowing you one three-day weekend a month!
