POSITION – Powder Department Finishing Associate
JOB LOCATION – Eau Claire, WI
STARTING DATE – Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM – Temp-to-Hire, Long-Term
EMPLOYMENT TYPE – Full-Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) – 1st Shift (7am-3:30pm, Mon to Fri or 4am-4pm, Mon-Fri when OT is required), 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm Mon-Fri or 4pm-4am, Mon-Fri when OT is required)
STARTING PAY – $20.75 per hour plus shift differential

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED or equivalent preferred
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE – 1 year of prior manufacturing experience in a fast-paced setting required, basic computer skills necessary
This role involves assisting in the powder coating process within an assembly-line environment. The product undergoes steel shot blasting, powder coating, oven baking, and is then conveyed to a packaging station. The primary responsibilities of this position include assessing the production line and packaging the finished products.
Responsibilities
Identify project requirements such as scope, assembly sequences, and necessary methods and materials based on blueprints, drawings, and verbal or written instructions.
Accurately lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials according to drawings or templates, utilizing tools like calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
Ensure high operational efficiency by applying cardboard, sticker labels, and any other required packaging materials to each product.
Regularly perform individual quality checks to identify and address any inefficiencies.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Work Experience: One year of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Computer Skills: Proficient in basic computer skills, with experience using RF guns in a manufacturing setting.
Organizational Skills: Capable of maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Cross-Functional Skills: Skilled in managing and handling multiple job assignments, including operating forklifts, cherry pickers, and other machinery.
Communication Skills: Effective communicator within a team setting.
Physical, Mental, and Visual Skills: Ability to lift, bend, and twist throughout the workday, with a requirement to lift regularly 50 lbs. (and up to 85 lbs with a team or assisted lift).
Physical Environment: Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
