Financial Specialist
Position Summary:
The Financial Specialist reports directly to the Executive Director and supports both bookkeeping and organizational administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring financial operations adhere to The Community Table’s policies as well as legal and ethical standards.
Specific Duties Include:
- Maintain the General Ledger with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Process disbursements, record receipts, and track deposits efficiently.
- Create and manage comprehensive financial files and records.
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Prepare regular financial reports to support organizational decision-making.
- Collaborate with auditors and accountants by providing accurate and timely information.
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors’ Treasurer to ensure accurate information is given to the board.
- Undertake additional ad hoc projects as directed by the Executive Director.
Professional Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial management.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices, accounting principles, and Excel, QuickBooks desktop and online, and Donorview.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to ethical financial practices and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
