Altoona Boys & Girls Club opening!

Altoona Boys & Girls Club opening!

The Altoona Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley will open its doors on June 13.

Boys & Girls Club programming is available to 2nd through 5th graders Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 6:00 for 10 weeks this Summer. The program will have the capacity to serve 50 Club Kids daily. The Club will also provide after school programming during the school year, along with select full days when school is not in session.

Boys & Girls Clubs provide research-based youth development programs that focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles and good character and citizenship. The Positive Club Experience provides fun, safe, structured, and interactive activities and opportunities that help Club Kids develop to their full potential. Because of support from a variety of sources, Club programs are accessible to all, with annual membership of $15 and reduced summer daily program fees of up to $15, or at reduced or no charge to qualifying families.

Registration for summer programs remains open. Club is available to all kids and families; there are no qualifications. Families can get more information at www.cvclubs.org or by calling the Altoona Center at 715-838-7357.

Special thanks to WNB Financial for their major support of the Altoona Club along with other donors including the City of Altoona, McDonough Manufacturing, Northwestern Bank and Royal Credit Union.
