$500,000 Donation to the Boys & Girls Club

Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire announced its donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Chippewa Falls.   Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire’s $500,000 donation will allow the club to renovate its kitchen space and appliances, allowing them to provide nutritional programs and services to its members.

“We are going to be redoing the kitchen which will allow us to serve meals for all the kiddos here.  Not only are they learning healthy lifestyles for themselves, but they're also learning how their healthy lifestyles impact those around them and how to teach those around them to be healthy as well.” said Mollie Hogan, Center Director of the Boys and Girls Club – Chippewa Falls Center.

“It's been easy to be friends with the Boys and Girls Clubs because they have the same mission: to promote healthy lifestyles for children.” said Sarah North, CEO of Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire.

“It is part of the philosophy of the cooperative to support the kids and help out in any way we can.” said Jeff Bowe, Board Treasurer of Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire and Owner of Bohl & Proulx Plumbing.

The contribution is part of Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire’s philanthropic commitment to support local charitable organizations and programs where their members live and work.
