Leadership Eau Claire™ (LEC) participants are required to participate in a group project. The class is divided into teams, which throughout the year work with a community non-profit organization to complete a service project.
Teams will pick a nonprofit or organization to work with from submissions on this interest form. Previously, we asked for specific project ideas - however that is optional given the new format. Instead teams will select you based on your organization, then work with you directly on what can be accomplished with their skill sets.
Requirement: **The nonprofit or organization must be a member of the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce.** Membership status can be checked here.

General Project Guidelines:
- Projects should be challenging and strategic – reflective of our participants’ abilities and skills.
- Projects can include planning for fundraising initiatives, but group participants are not allowed to make direct sponsorship or donation requests on your behalf.
- Projects must not have political affiliations.
Your project should allow participants to:
- Learn about a critical community issue that you are trying to address.
- Learn your organization’s purpose, mission, history, and role within our community.
- Identify and propose solutions.
- Begin implementation of solutions.
- Potentially build a foundation for a continuation of the project in the future by interested parties.
- Build leadership and team-building skills.
- Do something positive for the community.
